Success!!

Opening ROCKED! The kids did really well, and I was really proud of them. They felt really good about their performance. Minor things here and there, but no biggie. ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO!!!

Opening night.....

Well, tonight is opening night for my show, NOISE. Dress rehearsal wasn't so great - so tonight will be awesome, right?? :-) I just have to keep remembering...this is a kids show - I can't expect it to be perfect. The parents will be impressed that I am getting 70 some odd kids to do ANYTHING in rhythm!!

Stamping vs. Golf

So my husband was yapping at me about the money I spend on stamping. I quickly turned that around and said...."Let's see, you spent how much on your golf league? Oh yeah- $700 (League and membership)" I have spent about $700 on stamping. So we are equal and I don't want to hear about it. Not to mention, it doesn't take me away from my family several nights a week.

He didn't have much to say after that!!!

N.O.I.S.E.

"N.O.I.S.E." is about to be made!! Here's how it started.........

My principal asked me to create a performance class for non-musicians. I laughed - he didn't. :rolleyes: So I came up with NOISE, based on STOMP. Fast forward two years, and I get ambitious and approach the directors of the Endicott Performing Arts Center on possibly putting this to the stage....and they said YES. I was stoked.

SOOOOOo.....this summer, the EPAC Summer Kids' Theater is performing my show, "N.O.I.S.E." which uses everyday found items, as well as the human voice. It is a journey of sound and surprise. Participants range in ages from 5-18 and will be performing songs by Row-Loff Productions and arrangements and songs by me!!

Shows are August 19 7:30pm, and August 20 3:00pm

We had our preview performance last night at the Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally in Binghamton, NY with about 20 kids performing (about 1/4 of the total kids!! :shock:
They did a great job despite being small in number.

Stampaholics??

So here is how I got into stamping.....

A very dear friend of mine showed me a card she made that was all embossed, and really fancy, and I just couldn't BELIEVE that she had done that!!! She said, "You are totally creative and would love doing this." I kind of laughed it off - I just didn't get it. Then another friend of mine had done a stamp-a-stack for Christmas, and I was floored. So I originally said, "well geez, you could totally make a card for less than what you would in a store." Theoretically, that's true - IF YOU DON"T BUY A GAJILLION STAMP SETS LIKE ME!!!! HAhahahahaha...........I promptly went to my first party - and that ws the beginning of the end. :-)

I really need to get more into this, and keep updating!

Ok, so it's been several months! Then again, I have not exactly made the biggest effort to update this. In fact, I kind of forgot about this. When I tried to start it up, I couldn't use this name. Well, DUH - I had already created it!! C'est la vie......

This summer I have been doing "Alphabet Days" with my kids .... each day ( some days are days off) is a certain letter, and the activities relate to the letter. s
For example, here is what we have done so far.

A=Alpaca farm, Apple farm, Apple prints
B= Bubbles, Bologna sandwiches, Bananas, Balloons (water)
C= Cows (went to my friend's Dairy Farm, chocolate
D= Discovery Center
E= made Elephant craft
F= made Fish
G= Glass Greenhouse @ Daddy's work, where we saw Green slime, goldfish, and rode in a GEM car. Later, we made Green goop.
H= Highland Park, rode on the Horses in the Carousel
I = Made Ice Cream

I will update as we do more!!!
